Man, 29, has neck slashed in Liverpool city centre


A man has been slashed in the neck in Liverpool city centre, Merseyside police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Hanover street at about 0140 BST and discovered a 29-year-old injured man.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, a police spokeswoman said.

Police have cordoned off the scene for forensic inquiries. They have appealed to any witnesses to come forward.
