Witney CCTV scheme extended to Carterton

A CCTV network which monitors the Oxfordshire town of Witney has been extended to a neighbouring town.

Four cameras have been installed in Carterton and nine businesses have been given a radio link to the control room in Witney to report incidents.

West Oxfordshire District Council has paid the £80,000 cost of installing the cameras.

The operation costs will be met by the town council, the district council, RAF Brize Norton and Thames Valley Police.
