Man seriously hurt in three-vehicle crash in Surrey

A man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash in Surrey.

Surrey Police said a Citroen Berlingo, Ford Transit van and a BMW Z3 collided near the slip road on the A3 Portsmouth Road at Thursley, Godalming, on Friday.

The Citroen driver suffered serious injuries and is being treated at hospital in London, where his condition is described as life-threatening.

Surrey Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

The man driving the Ford Transit van was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital with minor injuries. The driver and the passenger of the BMW were unhurt.

Officers closed the southbound carriageway of the A3 for about four hours following the crash at 1415 BST.
