Witness appeal renewed after Powys park sex attack

Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses following a serious sexual assault in a Powys park.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the attack, which happened in Rock Park in Llandrindod Wells last Saturday.

Police are appealing to people who were there, or in the surrounding area, between 1200 and 1325 BST to contact them.

Det Insp Owain Richards said anyone who saw anything suspicious should contact police.

"We are appealing for witnesses who were in Rock Park during the times highlighted to come forward," he said.

"In addition, I would like to reassure the local community that these offences are extremely rare and Dyfed-Powys remains one of the safest places to live in England and Wales."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number of 101 or by ringing Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
