Campers return to site after North York Moors fire
About 1,000 people have returned to a campsite on the North York Moors after they were moved from the area when moor land caught fire.
Crews were called to the blaze near Spiers campsite, Cropton, at 1354 BST on Thursday.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said they had scaled down the number of appliances at the site from 10 to two.
Another moor fire at Eller Beck Bridge near Goathland at 1245 BST has also been scaled down, a spokesman said.
He added that relief crews would be at both sites on Friday where they would continue to monitor the fires.
People were allowed back to the campsite on Friday morning.
The cause of the fires is not yet known.
