Overturned lorry blocks M5 near Clevedon in rush hour

All three lanes of the M5 near Clevedon have now reopened after an overturned lorry blocking the southbound carriageway was removed.

The lorry, which crashed at the start of the exit slip road for junction 20, caused tailbacks of about six miles during the morning rush period.

It overturned just after 0600 BST and initially all three motorway lanes were closed.

The Highways Agency said a crane was brought in to move the vehicle.
