Cyclist, 73, who dies after Surrey road crash is named

A 73-year-old cyclist who died from her injuries following a crash in Surrey has been identified by police.

Sheila Mitchell, of Peasmarsh, collided with a Peugeot car as she attempted to turn right on A3100 Meadrow in Farncombe.

She was riding from Guildford towards Godalming when the incident happened at about 1555 BST on Wednesday.

Ms Mitchell was airlifted to King's College Hospital, south-east London, but later died.

The force has appealed for witnesses to contact officers.
