Two men sought over Whittlesey betting shop robbery

Two masked men are being sought after an armed robbery at a Cambridgeshire betting shop.

The pair held up the Ladbrookes betting shop in Whitmore Street, Whittlesey, on Wednesday evening.

One robber with a knife demanded money and threatened a customer while the other man waved what is believed to have been a handgun at staff.

The staff, who were left shaken but uninjured, handed over the cash and the men left the shop.

The robbers are described as black and wearing black clothes

Det Sgt Matt Swash said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men entering or leaving the store or anyone who knows who may be responsible.

"This was a terrifying incident for those involved and any information could be vital in bringing the offenders to justice."
