Nottinghamshire scooter boy injured by nylon rope

A 12-year-old Nottinghamshire boy broke his arm after riding his scooter into a nylon rope.

His father John Ambrose said his son Sam could have been killed by the rope that had been strung across a road in Warsop on 27 May.

"I saw it at the last second before I hit the rope then I somersaulted on to the floor, " Sam said.

He also suffered rope burn on this neck, a broken nose and a chipped tooth.

His father said his son could have had a broken neck and he wanted the offenders to be prosecuted.

Nottinghamshire police are treating the incident as assault causing bodily harm.
