Crime goes down by 10% in Warwickshire

The number of crime incidents in Warwickshire fell by 10% in the first two months of the financial year.

In April and May 5,232 crimes were reported in the county, compared to 5,825 in the same period in 2009.

Warwickshire Police said the statistic "further reinforces earlier visible results" achieved by the force and partner agencies.

It said there were 3,621 fewer victims of crime between April 2009 and March 2010 compared to a year earlier.
