Boy, twelve, found collapsed in Bury St Edmunds dies


A 12-year-old boy found lying in the street of a Suffolk town has died.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service to the corner of Appledown Drive and Bramley Close in Bury St Edmunds at about 1530 BST.

The boy was taken to West Suffolk Hospital but died a short time later, police said.

The area has been cordoned off and the police helicopter has been deployed. His family are being informed, a police spokeswoman said.

Police said the incident is not thought to be suspicious and the matter is being referred to the coroner.
