Second charge over Knaresborough store robbery attempt

A second teenager has been charged with attempting to rob a convenience store in Knaresborough.

Police said two men went to the Co-operative store on 22 May and threatened customers and staff with a long-barrelled gun.

A 16-year-old is due to appear before York Crown Court on Monday charged with possession of an imitation firearm and attempted robbery.

An 18-year-old man has already been charged with attempted robbery.
