Robbers leave JCB behind at Northamptonshire scene

A gang of robbers has left a digger behind at a Northamptonshire supermarket store when they removed a cash machine from the building.

The machine was removed from the Co-op in Braybrooke Road, Desborough, in the early hours of Saturday.

A police spokeswoman said it was believed the offenders arrived with the JCB and two other vehicles to carry out the attack.

It is not known how much money was stolen.
