Two more arrests have been made by police investigating the shooting of a man in Northumberland.

The 34-year-old victim was found in New Ridley Road, Stocksfield, on Friday night with a bullet wound to his shoulder, Northumbria Police said.

Two men aged 35 and 52 were arrested on Saturday and later released on police bail. A 34-year-old man and a woman, 36, were arrested on Tuesday.

The injured man remains in Newcastle General Hospital in a stable condition.

A police spokesman said the incident was the result of a dispute and not a random shooting. No-one else was hurt.
