A man was arrested after police were called to reports of a burglary at the country estate of Guy Ritchie.

Members of the film-maker's staff detained the 29-year-old after he was found at Ashcombe House, in Wiltshire, on Monday morning.

The man was bailed to return to Salisbury police station in July.

The 18th Century estate, near Salisbury, was given to Ritchie as part of his divorce settlement from US singer Madonna.

The couple, who have two children, divorced in 2008.

Ritchie, director of films such as Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Revolver, submitted plans last year to make the estate more eco-friendly.
