Home demand powers Indian growth


Domestic demand is helping India's economy power ahead. Its latest GDP update shows that output was 8.6 per cent higher in the first three months of 2010 when compared to the previous year.

While the data suggests India's economy is growing again at pre-crisis speeds, its high inflation rate remains a matter of concern.
