Arrests over farmhouse cannabis


Four people have been arrested after a "large scale cannabis grow" was discovered at a farmhouse.

Officers raided the four-bedroom house in Easingwold on Friday morning where police found the upstairs floor taken over with plants and equipment.

Around 160 plants with a street value of £96,000 were seized, along with equipment and a number of vehicles.

Four men, aged 20, 41, 43 and 58, all from York, were arrested and released on bail.

Police said following the raid, further warrants were executed in the York area.

Additional plants were seized and a 21-year-old man arrested.
