Playgroup damaged in arson attack

A playgroup is badly damaged in an arson attack

A building used as a community playgroup has been badly damaged in an arson attack in County Londonderry.

An oil tank was set on fire at the back of the premises on the Glenshane Road in Drumahoe. The fire was reported to police at about 0705 BST on Sunday.

The group was using a building in the grounds of Drumahoe Primary School, gifted to them by the Western Education and Library Board.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
