Cobo concert goes ahead as licence restriction lifted

A music concert in Guernsey will go ahead on Monday after the authorities backed down on the need for a special al fresco licence.

Organisers of the Rockmount concert in Cobo had been told they would need the licence to stage the balcony gig at the Cobo Bay Hotel on Monday.

However, the States Environment Department has agreed to a temporary relaxation of its policies.

Police will co-ordinate the closure of the Cobo coast road.
