A bar in the centre of Nottingham has been closed after a man was attacked and had a glass pushed into his face.

Nottinghamshire Police asked city licensing officials to review the licence of the Tantra Lounge and Bar in Victoria Street following the attack last weekend.

Now the premises has had its licence suspended for up to a month while a decision is taken on its future.

Nottingham City Council said it was "necessary and proportionate".
