Motorists have been seriously injured in a crash involving several vehicles on the M20 motorway in Kent.
Kent Police said the crash took place on the coastbound carriageway near the M25 interchange at Swanley at about 1540 BST on Friday.
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb) said six ambulances and rapid response vehicles had been sent to the scene.
He said there had been serious injuries, but could not elaborate.
Kent Police said drivers on the motorway had faced serious delays.
The motorway reopened at about 2100 BST.
