Man pleads guilty after fatal crash on M2 in Medway
A man has pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal crash on the M2 in Kent last year.
David Steele, 55, of Dane Close, Hartlip, admitted the charge at Maidstone Crown Court.
Jim Molloy, 58, from Broadstairs, died at the scene of the accident on the M2 near Walderslade in Medway on 31 July.
Four cars and a lorry were involved in the collision between junctions three and four.
Co-defendant Edward Parker, 51, of Sportsmans Cottages, Kings Hill, pleaded not guilty to the same charge and will face a three-week trial starting on 29 November.
Steele, who was placed under an interim driving disqualification, will be sentenced later in the year on a date still to be set.
Both were granted bail.
