A Nottinghamshire man has been jailed and his wife given a suspended sentence after they admitted abducting an eight-month old boy.
Andrew Warriner, 25, and his wife, Georgina, 21, both of Kingsway, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, were sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court.
Warriner was jailed for 14 months and his wife given a 12-month sentence suspended for two years.
The baby was taken on 21 January and was found unharmed 24 hours later.
The child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, found at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Carlow in the Irish Republic.
Mrs Warriner was also banned from unsupervised contact with children under 18 and had to surrender her passport.
