Traffic was brought to a halt in Dumfries at the weekend by an eight-metre tall giant.
The Big Man Walking, operated by a team of puppeteers, was visiting the region as part of its annual arts festival.
It was scheduled to set out from the fountain in Dumfries High Street on Saturday afternoon.
Later in the day it met up with a six-metre tall female willow figure named Devorgilla.
Large crowds were expected in the town centre to watch the spectacle.
A Peter Pan Street Party was also laid on to welcome the Big Man Walking.
It celebrated the regeneration of Moat Brae house and garden where JM Barrie was first inspired to write his children's classic.
