Gravesend woodland body is 'not suspicious'

Police have identified the body of a man found in woodland in Kent.

Kent Police said the dead man, who was discovered in a wooded area at the end of Canal Road in Higham, Gravesend, on 7 April, was Colin Barnes, 46, from Croydon.

The force said his death was not suspicious and an inquest had been opened and adjourned.

The wooded area was cordoned off at the time to allow officers to carry out an examination of the scene.
