Olympic Community Games gets under way in Much Wenlock

A Community Games event, part of the build-up to the 2012 Olympics, has got under way in Much Wenlock in Shropshire.

The event hopes to get thousands from the region involved in sporting events.

Much Wenlock is known as the home of the modern Olympics after they were founded in the town by William Penny Brookes in 1850.

One of the 2012 games mascots was named Wenlock in honour of the town's Olympic history.
