Aberdeen school mergers to be scrutinised

The public will get to scrutinise a "wide range" of options on the number of secondary schools Aberdeen needs.

A report before councillors recommended cutting the number from 12 to eight.

The move could see the amalgamation of Kincorth and Torry, Hazlehead and Harlaw, and Bridge of Don and Oldmachar.

However, councillors agreed to consult over the summer on options of eight, nine, 10, 11 or 12 schools.
