Barack Obama on 'top kill' bid to stem oil flow


US President Barack Obama has spoken about BP's current attempt to stem the flow of oil caused by a rig explosion last month, vowing not to rest until the "well is shut".

Speaking during a visit to a solar energy plant in Northern California, Mr Obama confirmed that every resource available would be utilised to "put to a stop to this thing".
