North Tyneside man charged over sister's death

The brother of a 58-year-old North Tyneside woman who died earlier this year has been charged with her manslaughter.

An ambulance crew was called to the home of Cynthia Barrass on Central Avenue, North Shields, on 9 February. She later died in hospital.

John Morris Barrass, 54, who lived at the address with his sister, has been charged with manslaughter.

He is due to appear at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court on 9 June.
