Dambusters mission recreated in Peak District

Enthusiasts have recreated the Dambusters mission at the Derwent Dam in the Peak District, north England.

The original Dambusters trained at the dam, before their mission into Germany to drop a bouncing bomb in 1943.

The Blades aerobatic team recreated the training runs using modern navigation equipment.

The original team simply used a compass and a ruler to calculate when to drop their bouncing bomb.

Matt Richards reports.
