I was expecting to be a bit sniffy about this, I mean Coldcut...they were old when I was young, and that was years ago! What should we expect, some sort of 'Dad Hop'?

I eat my words...almost. This is a family album, but it's a really cool family -and one that could only have the Coldcut duo at its head. Only they could bring together such diverse talents as Jon Spencer, Roots Manuva and Robert Owens; touching base with numerous electronic music styles along the way, from frothy dancehall pop to grooveadelic techno.

Some might say there's a touch of the 'coffee table' to Sound Mirrors; maybe so, but it's a reallynice coffee table -the sort you might get from Habitat...
