BBC Worldwide Announces Content Deal with Vivicast Media for Caribbean Channel CalaClassics

Miami, Florida –BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm and main subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and Vivicast Media, a global content aggregator, announced today a licensing agreement of over 700 hours of content that will bring classic BBC titles to English-speaking Caribbean islands through CalaClassics, a Pay TV network distributed by LORAC Communications Inc.

The four-year deal includes 1,500 episodes of classic BBC sitcoms and soap operas such as EastEnders, Yes Minister, The Black Adder and Last of the Summer Wine, as well as early seasons of internationally renowned series such as Doctor Who and Being Erica. These and other titles will air on CalaClassics in territories including the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Martin, and Trinidad and Tobago later this year.
