BBC Worldwide Productions France are to produce a documentary film about Daft Punk for Canal+ which will tell the extraordinary story of the two award-winning French DJ musicians hidden behind robot masks.

The 1x60’ documentary film is the first commission for BBC Worldwide from Canal+ and will air in 2015.

Viewers will get an insight into the artistic world of Daft Punk. Throughout their 20-year career, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the leading duo of the techno house scene in Europe have risen to achieve global stardom and have sold more than twelve million albums worldwide and won six Grammy Awards®.

The documentary is written and directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre and co-written by Marina Rozenman. It will be produced by Jean-Louis Blot, Head of BBC Worldwide Productions France and Patrice Gellé, Executive Producer Documentaries.
