In this episode the ‘galdem’ explore the strains of having to maintain their image, a pressure they believe is harder on women than men in the industry.
C Cane speaks out about the industry pressure to ‘sex up’ her style, and Cassie turns to Laughta for some personal advice.
Madders Tiff creates a photoshoot to inspire and empower a younger audience, while Pre Wavy releases a new track, but worries that homophobia in the industry may affect her success.
In this brand new constructed reality series for BBC Three, five up and coming female grime artists come together to produce a podcast. Across six parts, the series will follow the everyday lives of Laughta, Pre Wavy, C Cane, Madders Tiff and Cassie Rytz and the challenges of being a female artist in the male-dominated world of grime.
The accompanying podcast will be released weekly on BBC Sounds, exploring the central theme of each episode in more depth.
