Gareth Malone's All Star Music Quiz

Confirmed for BBC Two on 27 September at 7pm to 7.30pm

Ep 1/1

Thursday 27 September

Gareth Malone’s All Star Music Quiz is a special for BBC Music Day, where the nation’s favourite choirmaster challenges two celebrity teams (with a wide range of ability!) to play the answer on their instrument of choice, as well as say it.

The show tests their skill and knowledge across all music genres, with something for everyone and plenty for viewers to play along with. The team line-ups include former MP turned presenter, Ed Balls (on piano); Cold Feet and Fast Show star John Thomson (on drums); TV presenter and former JLS member JB Gill (on piano); comedian and actor Rob Rouse (on guitar and trumpet); the UK's premier female saxophonist Yolanda Brown (on saxophone), and Olivier Award-winning comedian Pippa Evans (on guitar).

Gareth Malone’s All Star Music Quiz is being broadcast on BBC Two as part of this year’s BBC Music Day, an annual celebration of the power of music to change lives which takes place on Friday 28 September. This pan-BBC initiative across television, radio and online features live music events and performances across the UK involving famous musicians, choirs and local community music groups.
