TV’s most prestigious awards ceremony of the year is back with Sue Perkins at the helm. The Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards will see the best of British and international talent walk the red carpet at London’s Royal Festival Hall before the winners are awarded their coveted BAFTA masks.

Black Mirror, Line of Duty, The Crown and Three Girls lead the nominations with three each, and the stars of those shows - Joe Cole, Thandie Newton, Claire Foy and Molly Windsor – all receiving nominations for their performances.

First-time nominees headline this year, with Brian F. O’Bryan, Anna Friel, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Samson Kayo, Anupam Kher, Jack Rowan and Sandi Toksvig vying to take home their first BAFTA. And much-loved football commentator, John Motson, will receive the prestigious BAFTA Special Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to sports broadcasting over the course of his 50-year career.
