Sir Peter Wright, who celebrates his 90th birthday this November, is a legend of British ballet.

A classical dancer, choreographer, television director and teacher, he has worked alongside some of the biggest names in dance. For two decades he ran the touring company of the Royal Ballet, before transforming it into the Birmingham Royal Ballet. He has created enduring productions of the classical repertoire, and his versions of The Nutcracker and Giselle are acknowledged world-wide as possibly the finest of all.

This documentary looks at his colourful career and examines his unwavering convictions through the first major interview he has given, as well as contributions from many distinguished colleagues and a rich array of archive and behind-the-scenes footage.
