Ep 1/10

Monday 15 February

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story is a ten-part series that takes audiences inside the OJ Simpson trial, with a riveting look at the legal teams battling to convict or acquit the American football legend of double homicide.

Based on the book The Run Of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin, the series explores the chaotic, behind-the-scenes dealings and manoeuvring on both sides of the case, and how a combination of the prosecution's over-confidence, the defence's shrewdness, and the Los Angeles Police Department’s incendiary history with the city’s African-American community, gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.

Starring Cuba Gooding Jr as O.J. Simpson, John Travolta as defence attorney Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as defence attorney Robert Kardashian, Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran.

In Episode One the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman lead the LAPD to the home of O.J. Simpson.
