BBC Make it Digital season

Major content season and new digital initiatives across TV, Radio and Online

BBC Make it Digital season - Online

There will be up to 17 BBC iWonder guides and timelines created for the season. Looking at topics from the dark web and big data, to Steve Jobs and ground-breaking visual CGI effects in film, the guides will be available at bbc.co.uk/iwonder.

This content will be rich with bespoke interactivity, video and audio, and the format is fully responsive, providing a consistent experience on desktop, tablet and mobile.

A BBC Four archive collection Back to BASIC will be made available exclusively on BBC iPlayer. The collection returns to the 1980s and features programmes from when the BBC launched the Microcomputer System, or BBC Micro, as part of the Computer Literacy Project. A selection of TV series accompanied this project to help people make the most of their computers and to showcase developments worldwide, some of which are included in this collection for audiences to enjoy once again.

An interactive video on BBC Taster will accompany the Horizon episode, Are Video Games Really That Bad? It combines a mix of linear and playable content, including specially developed mini-games to explore how video games affect individuals. This allows the viewer to learn about the effect of certain types of game and experience it for themselves.
