I’ve never been on a blind date before or done online dating. It will be intriguing. Doing this is very much a case of stepping in at the deep end!Ed

Why did you apply for Love in the Countryside?

I decided to go for it as I thought it would be a little adventure. I am really enjoying the process, it’s fun.

How long have you been single for?

I’ve been single for a couple of years.

Do you think it is tougher to find love when you work on a farm?

You do have to work late nights and early mornings and you are not always around. I do think it is harder.

What kind of woman would you like to be paired with on Love in the Countryside?

I am going with the flow. I want to read the letters before looking at the photographs. I don’t want to look at the pictures and then just disregard the letters.

What kind of boyfriend do you make?

I have wined and dined girls in the past. I have probably been an awful boyfriend over the last couple of years because I was busy with other stuff and my head was elsewhere. I would like to think I would be generous and caring.

Have you been on a blind date before?

I’ve never been on a blind date before or done online dating. It will be intriguing. Doing this is very much a case of stepping in at the deep end!

How would it feel if you met someone on the show?

I would be chuffed but I don’t want to get my hopes up in case I get disappointed.

Have you had any dating disasters?

I’ve not had any dating disasters. I am quite chatty. I like asking questions and learning about people. I wouldn’t say I have had any unpleasant experiences.

How important is it to you that they understand what you do as a job?

I don’t think it matters initially but obviously if we were in a relationship and I was busy or the weather was right (for me to attend on the farm), they would need to understand that I have other priorities.

Will you be watching yourself?

I am sure I will watch myself and have a good laugh!

Would you like to settle down one day?

I would like a family. I definitely want to have kids one day and have that opportunity.

Is there anything else you want to get from this experience?

The big thing for me is hopefully to give a good impression of agriculture. We sell products direct to the public and try to do things in a way that they like. It would be nice to show we really do care for the animals we look after and that we work really hard to provide a product for our customers.
