It was a nervous excitement backstage. None of us knew what to expect, but everyone just wanted to have a great time. I tried to calm my energy as much as I could to be focused on giving a good performance.Tabi Gazele
Treasure by Bruno Mars
Why did you choose that song?
It has such a feel-good, old school groove and whenever I've sung it before people really get into it.
How did it feel backstage before you performed?
It was a nervous excitement backstage. None of us knew what to expect, but everyone just wanted to have a great time. I tried to calm my energy as much as I could to be focused on giving a good performance.
Were you more nervous when it came to the final?
I was much more relaxed in the final because I was familiar with the stage, The 100, and I felt like I could enjoy the moment more because I'd made it that far.
Did you get to know your fellow finalists?
I did and was pleasantly surprised that we all connected so well. There was a genuine positive energy from everyone and it was nice to do the group song together.
Best memory from taking part in the show.
My best memory is being looked after so well by the whole crew. They were all really nice.
What is your favourite all time song and/or artist?
My favourite artist is Michael Jackson and it's too hard for me to pick a favourite song.
How did you find being on the show with Rob and Geri?
It was a good show to be part of because I believe in the power music has to bring people together, and make them feel something, and it doesn't need to super serious. I enjoyed the light-hearted vibe Rob and Geri brought.
