Two talented teens on the brink of global superstardom feature in the critically acclaimed My Life strand (13 x 30’) which returns for its ninth series.

Max and Harvey - Breaking America (working title), follows 14 year-old twins Max and Harvey, who have racked up more than four million followers on social media covering their favourite songs. Following this meteoric rise to online fame, their dream is to make the huge leap from digital talent to international music stars. Sassy Films co-produce with CBBC and BBC Worldwide.

Other stories in the up-coming series include a film by a smart, funny 10 year-old who, for the first seven years of his life, was ‘locked in’, unable to speak or communicate, but who is now on a mission to change the lives of children in a similar position to himself; a film following three children who have a parent in prison; another about children adopted from China; and one about child models with a difference, who are trying to change perceptions around body image and disability.

YouTube megastar Ali-A (AKA Alastair Aiken), presents Ali-A’s Superchargers [10 x 20’], a car-transformation show that puts children in the driving seat as they give their tired family car a jaw-dropping new look - all without their parents’ input.

Ali A’s Superchargers is produced by Endemol Shine North. Executive producers are Rick Murray and Coral Lawson, who is also series producing.

Fear Falls is a futuristic game show where contestants control avatars and navigate cyborg starships whilst completing complex challenges to help conquer malevolent overlords.

From across the UK, players take part from the comfort of their own homes whilst CBBC viewers themselves will be gripped by this unique and dramatic game show.

It is produced by Objective Media Group Scotland and Panda TV.

Joe All Alone [4 x 30’], adapted from Joanna Nadin’s book, is the powerful and moving story of a boy who, despite the odds, manages to find optimism, adventure and friendship in the most deprived circumstances. Produced by Zodiak with Steven Andrew as executive producer alongside CBBC executive producer Amy Buscombe.

Katy [3 x 30’], the in-house drama team’s latest adaptation of a Dame Jacqueline Wilson novel, features a lively, strong-willed and impulsive heroine struggling to adjust to life in a new blended family, before an accident leaves her in hospital with a spinal injury.

The development of the adaptation was spearheaded by in-house head of drama development Anna Davies, working with writer Tom Bidwell. The producer is Jonathan Wolfman and the executive producer is Spencer Campbell.

Returning in-house dramas include a second series of The Worst Witch (a co-production with ZDFE and adapted from the popular Jill Murphy books) following the adventures at Miss Cackle’s academy for witches. The TV series is accompanied by a host of commissioned digital content from the In House Interactive Team including the hit game produced with Goodboy Digital.

There’s also a new series of Hetty Feather (based on the Dame Jacqueline Wilson novels) and a two series commission and exclusive online dramas for hit brand The Dumping Ground. Plus all 93 episodes of Tracy Beaker will soon be made available on iPlayer, bringing an old friend to new audiences on a digital platform.

CBBC Productions are also co-producing, with DHX Media, Creeped Out, a 13-part anthology created by Bede Blake and Rob Butler combining sci-fi, adventure, suspense, fantasy and mystery to thrill young viewers, with exclusive digital content commissioned alongside.

The CBBC Productions team has also won a new factual commission, Beyond Bionic, [13 x 30’], a high octane and fast moving series that sees underwater explorer, skydiver and adventurer, Andy Torbet, making his CBBC debut as he attempts to match, if not beat, the super-powers of animals using engineering and ingenuity.

The series is complemented by a range of digital-first content.

The development of the series was spearheaded by Ben Armstrong and the CBBC Production's Unscripted Development Team. Tony Lee is the Executive Producer with Moray London as Series Editor.

There are also plenty of laughs to be had with the return of mockumentary-style comedy series Class Dismissed, two new series of comedy drama series 4 O'Clock Club plus new Dangermouse animated comedy and game (co-produced with Fremantle Media), Diddy TV, How To Be Epic, Sam And Mark’s Friday Wind Up and The Dengineers.

Other recommissions include hit children’s adventure show Raven and talent show Taking The Next Step, both produced by the CBBC Productions in-house team in Scotland. Plus new Gory Games from Citrus Television, Remotely Funny from Twenty Twenty and Got What It Takes? from Lincoln Square Productions.

A new series of Marrying Mum And Dad [15 x 30’] also has also been re-commissioned as Ed and Naomi return, with the help of a number of special celebrity guests, to help young wedding planners put together the craziest, most exciting marriages imaginable for their parents.

For younger viewers, CBeebies takes pre-schoolers on a journey through the complex world of emotions in Feeling Better [25 x 15’], helping them to recognise, acknowledge and deal with a broad range of both positive and negative feelings using songs, stories, puppet characters and clever animation.

Feeling Better is produced by CBeebies in-house team in Scotland with executive producer Sara Harkins.

CBeebies continues to encourage children to explore the world around them as well as focus on shows with a strong sense of family and community with My World Kitchen, Biggleton, Waffle The Wonder Dog and Gudrun The Viking Princess.

Amazing little cooks creating global recipes is the focus of My World Kitchen [30 x ‘11] from Terrific Television. A brand new and exciting factual entertainment show with live action, child-led cookery it celebrates the food children like to cook and eat enabling children to cook from scratch, making food exciting and interesting, whilst finding out where food comes from around the world and how it grows.

Executive producer for CBeebies is Julia Bond.

Biggleton [25 x 11’] from CBeebies in-house Salford team is a live action series in which a young cast role play different jobs, stretch their imaginations and explore what it means to be part of a community.

Alison Stewart is head of in-house production, Tony Reed is the executive producer and Anna Perowne is the series producer.

Waffle The Wonder Dog [30 x 11’] is a pioneering new comedy drama which tells the tale of the world's worst puppy who comes woofing and wagging his way into the lives of a newly blended family bringing chaos, calamity and confusion, along with comedy, cuddles and huge slobbery doggy kisses of cuteness.

Because Waffle is no ordinary pup he has many a surprising twist in his tail. These tales of dog meets cat and neighbour versus neighbour are underpinned by a real-life, heart-warming story about how Waffle the Wonder Dog is the glue that brings a family together - and that dog is sticky!

Created by Billy Macqueen, Catherine Williams and Maddy Darrall, the series producer is Fiona Robinson, Anne Gilchrist and Michael Towner are the executive producers for CBeebies.

Gudrun The Viking Princess [20 x 5’] is a brand new docu-drama series mixing wildlife and landscapes, Viking history and a rich family of characters. The TV series, from Maramedia, is accompanied by commissioned digital content.

Returning to the channel is the CBeebies’ annual Christmas production which this year will be a re-telling of the Hans Christian Andersen’s classic winter tale, The Snow Queen, to be staged at The Curve Theatre in Leicester.

Previously announced, Pablo, which follows a five and a half year old boy as he works through the challenges of his autism and which is due to air later in 2017, has already been re-commissioned as has a second series of Apple Tree House.
