Two Doors Down welcomes new cast members as filming begins
Three new cast members have arrived in Latimer Crescent, as filming gets under way for a six-part series of Two Doors Down - the BBC Two sitcom which first aired as a New Year’s special.
The ups and downs of the residents of Latimer Crescent will be brought brilliantly to life by this fantastic ensemble in these terrific scripts.
Elaine C Smith (Rab C Nesbitt), Jamie Quinn (Bluestone 42) and Harki Bhambra (Dr Who) are the newcomers who join the original cast of family members and friends who starred in this Scottish comedy of manners.
Elaine C Smith is to play Christine, a slightly overbearing and demanding neighbour. Jamie Quinn is playing Ian, the son of one of the main families in the street, and Harki Bhambra is playing Ian’s boyfriend Jaz.
They will join the core cast: Arabella Weir, Alex Norton, Doon Mackichan, Jonathan Watson and Sharon Rooney.
Written by Gregor Sharp and Simon Carlyle the series, which explores the best and worst of family life, has begun filming this week in locations around Glasgow as well as in BBC Scotland’s Dumbarton studios.

The BBC Scotland comedy for BBC Two is being produced by Catherine Gosling Fuller and directed by Simon Hynd. It is expected to air in early 2016.
