Connected Studio MakerBox is a BBC website that showcases some BBC R&D production tools, as well as third party tools we’ve licensed, as part of the BBC’s statutory mission to promote innovation and work collaboratively with other organisations, particularly in the creative economy, where this is in the public interest (the “Our Mission”). We use MakerBox to offer access to these tools for non-commercial purposes consistent with our Mission as well as a place for community conversation to take place, share insight and inspire innovation.
If you wish to get access to a certain MakerBox tool, please complete the request form for that tool within the page. Your information will be reviewed by a member of the BBC MakerBox team and if you are not BBC staff or a BBC partner, your information will be used to start a conversation over the public value that can potentially be created by your use of the tool. If approved, we will send you further information by email, including separate terms that you will have to agree to in all cases (different terms apply to each tool). You have to be 16 years old or over to request access to a tool.
Information about how the BBC collects and uses your data can be found in the BBC’s Privacy and Cookies Policy. Find out more about how BBC handles information and privacy. If you sign up to the Connected Studio MakerBox mailing list, your name and email will be stored for that purpose. We also want to let you know that the BBC may use data collected within Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools on cloud computing services to better enable management of supplier relationships. Such cloud computing services may be provided through third parties with servers in the EEA.
