This week's featured act, Springtide Cavalry, are a three piece based in south London who've been making music since May 2008.

Springtide Cavalry

To the power of three:Springtide Cavalry

Influenced by Paul Weller, the Jam, the Who, Thin Lizzy and Ocean Colour Scene among others, they also say every gig they do "means so much to us".

The Cavalry's MySpace link can be found in the right-hand column of this page, and there you'll find our London Calling chosen track, Lose My Mind, which is the band's demo.

In a band?

Each week, London Calling puts the spotlight on one unsigned /rising or self-released artist or band from the London area.

If you fit the bill - or know anyone who does - and would like to be featured on BBC London 94.9 in our new talent spot, please post your music (we suggest no more than 3 tracks) to:
