BBC iPlayer Kids - What devices and operating systems is the app available on?

The app is designed for both mobiles and tablets using the following operating systems:

  • iOS: iOS 9.3 and above (downloading programmes is supported from iOS 12 and above)
  • Android: Android 5.0 and above
  • Amazon Fire: Amazon Fire OS 5 and above

If you have an earlier operating system version, you may still be able to use the BBC iPlayer website through the web browser on your device. To find out whether BBC iPlayer is available on your mobile device, check the Can I use BBC iPlayer on my mobile or tablet? page.
