You can download and watch programmes offline for the same amount of time they're available for on the website. So if a programme is still available for 15 days on the website, you still have 15 days to watch it as a download. At the end of that period, the download programme will be deleted. So keep an eye on the expiry date of each programme you download to make sure you don't miss out!
Yes. If you have the Parental Guidance Lock turned on - like you would for playing programmes on the website - you’ll need to enter your PIN to download any programme with a guidance label.
If subtitles are available when you stream a programme then they'll be available on the download. You can turn subtitles on or off by selecting the ‘S' button in the playback console.
There are two quality versions of a download: Standard Definition and High Definition. Once you click on the Download option on the website it will ask if you have already installed BBC iPlayer Downloads. It will then present the option to Download in SD or Download in HD.
