Honey-roasted fig and red onion crostini
Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the red onion and fry over a gentle heat for five minutes until softened.
Add the garlic and sugar and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the balsamic vinegar and cook for three minutes.
Place the halved fig onto a baking sheet and drizzle with honey. Roast for five minutes in the oven.
To serve, spread the caramelised onions onto the toasted baguette slices and top with the honey-roasted figs.
