Fragrant lemon verbena and perfumed orange blossom combine for a sublimely refreshing cocktail.
To make a sugar syrup, put the sugar, lemon zest and juice, and 200ml/7fl oz water in a large saucepan placed on a medium-low heat. Warm until the sugar has dissolved.
Mix together the sugar syrup, bruised verbena leaves, orange blossom water, soda water and vodka in a jug.
Pour into glasses filled with ice and finish with lemon verbena leaves.
