Gnocchi with tomato and basil
Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry until softened.
Add the vinegar and sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the passata, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to simmer for 5-6 minutes.
Add the basil and season, to taste, with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Add the gnocchi and stir well to coat.
To serve, place the gnocchi and sauce into a bowl and serve immediately.
